The air outside was cold today A little too cold The grass is getting healthier And our house is getting old It's a shame the cards predict an early spring I would've liked to see that more than anything But I can't stay here Any longer Not while the visions of imminent destruction Are growing stronger The people of the settlement Are finally catching on It's an all consuming darkness But soon will come the dawn And when they come in numbers seeking for us How long, you think, until they torch our forest? See I can't stay here Any longer Not while the visions of unassailable chaos Are growing stronger I admire and respect you all And I wanna stay kind But if you can't feel our powers fading Have you lost your minds? You can see me as another heartless grifter I will still hold vigils for you I will still call you my sisters I just can't stay here Any longer Not while the visions of psychogenic infestation Grow stronger

I saw you at the market You were gathering your thoughts, collecting loose ends If the almanacs are anything to go by You and I oughtta make great friends I could tell just looking at you You got a knack for the higher affairs I dabble in the arts myself And I got the feeling we could get somewhere Cuz I've got: Three small pieces of obsidian A few small bundles of leaves A box full of fresh candles And a handful of hairbrained schemes So let's go Let's go Do you wanna go To the astral plane? I saw you at the market With material components in your drawstring purse Not the best attempt at staying discreet But I've seen worse I know our ways hold contradictions Our robes bear different colors and our patrons different names But the high regard in which we hold our rituals Might make us one and the same And I've got: Seven to ten small smooth river stones, and I've got A journal full of dreams, I've got A couple fresh sprigs of lavender And a handful of hairbrained schemes So let's go Oh honey let's go I think we could go To the astral plane Go!

If I weren't so worried all the time I don't know what I'd do with myself I'd probably wake up in an Arby's parking lot On the other side of the state And as I got my bearings My worries would all come back to me one by one And I'd take them home And I'd tuck them in And I'd break their stupid legs with a ball peen hammer (A ball peen hammer) If I didn't have executive dysfunction I don't know what I'd do with myself Probably have a job I could actually do And make all of the art that I wanted to And a feeling of worthlessness Would manifest physically inside my house So I'd paint it blue And I'd call it a ghost And I'd tell it that's it's gotta move out by the end of April (The end of April) When I figure out why I feel this way I think I know what I'll do with myself Gonna try every day and be a little bit better Than I was the day before And when I feel like quitting Or dying or like I'll never be enough I'm gonna take a deep breath And I'll drink some water And I'll set aside some time to tell my friends I love them (I'll tell my friends I love them)

Just because I am bigger than you Doesn't mean you can walk all over me But I love when you see me in bloom And go foraging for my extremities Don't look for a treatment I'm not a disease I'm living in thousands of acres of trees And my tubular filaments grow wild and free Because I am a society Yessir I am a society I remember when I was a spore Just a regular northwestern fungus But I always dreamed I'd be more And somehow I wound up humongous But I'm no record breaker I'm just plain old me A huge armillaria solipedes And my thousands of rhizomorphs grow wild and free Because I am a society Yessir I am a society Oh yes I am a society

"Light and darkness are not equal They're opposite, but they're not equal Light does not depend on darkness for its existence This is what the occultists say Two different forces Both sitting there in opposition to each other Presenting different sides of the same being That is not what Christiananity says That is not what classicallll uh uh uh uh philosophy all the way back to antiquity says They are not the same thing They are not equal to each other Light is a force unto itself It is a positive popositive force In order to bring about darkness Something must first happen to the light It must be extinguished or dimmed The light must go out Then and only then does darkness settle in Darkness is aabsolutely and totally totally pendant on light They are not Equal eequal Opposites"

Beware the man all dressed in blue His mighty blade may comfort you He gets you on his side and then He sells you out to his real friends The ones who got beneath your skin Will make fun of you for trusting him His glowing eyes reveal the truth Beware the man all dressed in blue Beware the woman of pink flames Though she be known by many names Her healing aura may entice But this deception is precise Beware no matter what she says There's poison in those chalices Her glowing eyes reveal the same Beware the woman of pink flames Beware false prophets of all creeds They cannot satisfy your needs Their company is no success Don't look to them for happiness Fulfillment comes from no one else You're gonna have to save yourself To thrive in this accursed age Beware false prophets where they stray

The words I write on the soles of my feet The constellations on my skin Are invocations of the inner world And the future I see rolling in The vibes have been atrocious lately Maybe that's a good thing The visions haven't gotten any quiter There's poison in my bones still festering When the great reptilian eye shines down upon us This will all be washed away And I dearly hope that I am not still stuck here On that glorious day I have seen the destruction of the valley I have seen the power of the all-consuming light I've seen the way your father treats his people I know something isn't right I feel so powerless and empty I feel like I'm losing control Everything feels so impossible So yeah fuck it let's go When the Season of Revelation is upon us This will all be washed away And I dearly hope that my loved ones can save themselves On that glorious day (and i have experienced an embryonic state of the universe and i have experienced the beautiful awakening of truth and i have seen the undivided mission of demogogues and i've seen the wrath of an unconscious mind)

Almost There 05:21
Pack light and travel steady Keep a medium pace Keep that grimace of determination Etched into your face Make headway in the daytime Stay wary of illusions Not every puzzle you find out here Has a logical solution (Not every puzzle you find out here Has a logical solution) The path will be illumined Be mindful of its lack of features Try your best not to lose yourself Or get possessed by nightmare creatures The journey is not linear The journey is not nice Take comfort that you'll never need to cross The same river twice (Take comfort that you'll never need to cross The same river twice) We are the ones who seek eternity We are fragments of the stars We are disciples of experience We are becoming who we are The world is crumbling around me The grain is giving way You should've left me where you found me For I am not OK OK (You should've left me where you found me For I am not OK OK)

about

This is a test.

The Season of Revelation is Act 1 of the double album Early Spring. Here, we find the disillusioned psychic, the determined yet ultimately doomed optimist, the self-loathing ideologue, and abundant, mysterious joy.
